Knights of the RV Resort (Texas) and Knights Tavern announced the schedule for their First Annual Plantersville Holiday Market. The event creates a strategic opportunity to draw local residents to the campground for a seasonal showcase.
Scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 7, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., the market will take place at the resort’s location on Glass Road.
The initiative represents a growing trend among outdoor hospitality operators to utilize resort spaces as community hubs. The event combines retail, food service, and family entertainment to drive foot traffic.
Local vendors will set up onsite, providing shopping opportunities for attendees. This format allows the resort to foster networks with area small businesses.
Amenities available for use during the event include a castle playground and a bounce house. These features highlight the park’s family-oriented infrastructure to potential future guests.
Holiday-specific attractions include appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus. The resort is monetizing this feature through professional photography packages, priced at $25 per session.
Additional community partnerships include onsite pet adoption opportunities. This expands the event’s operational scope beyond traditional holiday festivities.
To enhance the guest experience, the resort will deploy a snow machine and a snow globe photo booth. A live DJ will provide audio entertainment throughout the grounds.
“We love creating events that bring families together,” Clint Bruney, CEO and owner, said in a press release. “This Holiday Market is another opportunity for our community to come out, connect, and make new Christmas memories here at the resort.”
“Plantersville has such a warm and supportive community,” said Megan Bruney, CMO and co-owner. “We’re excited to host this festive event for families, vendors, and neighbors who want to celebrate the season together.”
While admission to the grounds is free, operators are encouraging advance registration. “Guests are encouraged to register in advance to help the resort prepare for the expected turnout,” the press release adds.
Tickets for the Santa photos must be reserved through the registration portal. Prices are listed at $25 plus tax.
