The City of Fredericksburg’s Parks and Recreation Department is transitioning to the Firefly reservation system at Lady Bird Johnson RV Park on Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 12-13, 2026. The two-day upgrade reflects a growing trend among operators seeking more streamlined digital platforms to manage reservations and enhance operational efficiency.
During the transition window, the park is temporarily suspending all booking activity, with reservations unavailable in person, by phone, by email or online. All existing reservations will be automatically migrated into the new system, eliminating the need for guests to rebook or re-enter their information. This approach aligns with what has become standard practice across the industry, where automatic data migration protects guest convenience and maintains operator credibility during platform changes.
