Ferncrest Chambers Creek Set to Bring Upscale Glamping to Grandview, Texas in 2026

A new luxury glamping retreat is taking shape in Grandview, Texas, with plans to open in early 2026. Ferncrest Chambers Creek, located about an hour south of Dallas-Fort Worth, will offer upscale accommodations that aim to combine nature, comfort, and modern amenities on a 12-acre property owned by Chris and Lauren Jackson.

The Jacksons, known for their distinct public profiles — Chris as a former Fear Factor champion and Lauren as the reigning Mrs. Texas International 2025 — are developing the glampground as both a business venture and a long-term family project.

According to the couple, the land has been in Chris’s family for decades and was awaiting its next purpose. “It’s been a dream for years to create a space where people can come together, get away from the city and enjoy nature,” Chris said in a video shared on their website.

According to the Dallas Observer, plans for Ferncrest Chambers Creek include 10 geodesic domes placed throughout the wooded property to maximize privacy and comfort.

Guests will have access to wood-fired hot tubs, saunas, and cold plunges, as well as a camp store featuring essentials and locally sourced products. The property will also include hiking trails, wildflower gardens, and creekside paths to promote outdoor exploration.

While the site is being developed under the broader Ferncrest franchise, the Jacksons emphasize that their Texas location will reflect local character and family heritage. Their website notes, “Every decision, every detail, and every story will be uniquely ours.”

The couple describes the location as both secluded and convenient, with proximity to the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area expected to attract weekend travelers seeking an easy nature escape.

The land itself features varied terrain, natural water elements, and historical touches such as a bridge dating back to the 1890s. “This isn’t Yosemite or Jackson Hole — it’s something uniquely Texan, and it’s ours,” Chris said.

Construction on Ferncrest Chambers Creek is currently underway, with updates and early access opportunities available through the official website.

For outdoor hospitality operators, the project reflects the growing appeal of high-end glamping within reach of major metropolitan centers—a model that combines experiential lodging with regional storytelling to attract diverse guest segments.

If successful, Ferncrest Chambers Creek may serve as an example of how franchise-supported glamping concepts can be adapted to reflect local culture while appealing to travelers seeking comfort without sacrificing authenticity.
