CoralTree Hospitality, a hospitality industry player, has announced plans to significantly expand its portfolio in Texas.
The group is introducing a new full-service, luxury resort community, The Peninsula Beach Resort, on a sprawling 110-acre property in Port Bolivar along the picturesque Gulf Coast.
This substantial project, which aims to enhance the local tourism landscape, will provide a diverse range of accommodations including 90 single-family homes, 114 rental cottages, more than 160 beachside condominiums, and 50 recreational vehicle (RV) sites. Alongside these facilities, the resort will also host several dining options, a private airport, clubhouses, and two swimming pools.
At the helm of the ambitious project is CoralTree Hospitality, renowned for its expertise in developing and managing similar high-end properties.
“The Peninsula Beach Resort is one of the most exciting new projects developed on the Texas Gulf Coast in years,” said Tom Luersen, president of CoralTree Hospitality.
“Our team has extensive experience working with similar resort properties that offer diverse lodging and entertainment offerings. We look forward to working hand in hand with the development team to make their vision of Peninsula Beach Resort a reality.”
The property is being developed by the Bolivar Investment Group. Expressing his enthusiasm about the collaboration, Michael Wiglesworth, principal of the Bolivar Investment Group, stated, “The Peninsula, with CoralTree at the helm, will change the paradigm of the Bolivar Peninsula, becoming one of the largest, most exclusive and totally integrated beach resorts on the entire Texas Gulf Coast.”
The first phase of this massive development project is set to launch in the spring of 2024. This will see the opening of The Zoo Beachbar & Grill, slated to be the largest beachfront ice house on the Texas Gulf Coast. The restaurant will feature a sports viewing area overlooking a massive private beach playground known as The Sandbox, which comes complete with championship sand volleyball courts and recreational game areas.
In addition to the aforementioned facilities, the initial phases will also introduce 114 rental cottages, event facilities, two Olympic-sized pools, and a diverse array of dining and entertainment options including the Veranda Bar & Grill and The Esplanade Spa & Restaurant. The expansive Esplanade Spa will feature a workout room, steam and dry saunas, outdoor pools, and more. There will also be 50 premium RV sites with overhead hospitality cabins, adding another unique touch to the accommodation options.
The final stage of development is slated for 2025. This phase will see the unveiling of luxurious beachfront homes and multiple mid-rise condominium towers, providing over 160 two- and three-bedroom units with striking views of the Gulf of Mexico. Owners will have the option of renting their condominiums and houses through the Peninsula rental management services.
Further distinguishing The Peninsula will be its private Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) classification airport, making it the only fly-in beach resort in the United States. This phase will also witness the development of over 40,000 square feet of retail commercial space along Highway 87.
The Peninsula Beach Resort will undoubtedly elevate the Texas tourism landscape and transform the Bolivar Peninsula into a prime destination for leisure and recreation. With its commitment to luxury and diversity in its offerings, it’s set to become a landmark in the heart of the Gulf Coast.
CoralTree Hospitality Group’s upcoming project is set to redefine outdoor hospitality. This full-service, luxury resort, sprawled across a 110-acre property, signals a significant step in the evolution of the outdoor hospitality industry, including campgrounds and RV parks.
Increasingly, vacationers are seeking more diverse and luxurious options for outdoor stays. CoralTree Hospitality’s project is perfectly positioned to cater to this demand.
The Peninsula Beach Resort is poised to invigorate the outdoor hospitality industry, introducing a level of luxury and diversity that aligns with modern consumer demands. This innovative approach is likely to inspire the broader industry, potentially leading to new standards in luxury outdoor hospitality.
