The Texas Association of Campground Owners (TACO) has opened registration for its annual Spring Meeting and Tradeshow, scheduled for April 29-30 at the Lone Star Convention & Expo Center in Conroe, Texas.
The two-day event, considered the largest gathering of its kind in the Southwest, is expected to draw park operators and industry vendors. According to TACO Executive Director and CEO Brian Schaeffer, the association anticipates attendance will match or surpass last year’s record-breaking figures.
Attendees will have access to a variety of educational seminars and a government affairs briefing, along with a tradeshow featuring more than 70 vendors showcasing the latest products and services for the outdoor hospitality industry.
Schaeffer noted the importance of the event for campground operators looking to stay informed on industry trends and best practices. “Last year we had the biggest show in TACO history, and we anticipate that this year’s show will rival last year’s figures,” he said.
The convention will include legislative updates to keep park operators informed about regulatory changes and policies affecting their businesses. Schaeffer will be joined by Legislative Liaison Randall Dally and TACO Legislative Consultant Ron Hinkle.
Several roundtable discussions are also on the agenda, offering attendees the chance to hear from industry experts on key topics. One session will focus on strategies for buying and expanding campground operations, while another will explore trends and forecasts for 2025 and beyond.
TACO’s popular “Casino Night” is set to return, providing a social opportunity for park operators and vendors to connect in a relaxed setting.
Sponsored by Leavitt Recreation & Hospitality Insurance, the event has become a highlight of the Spring Meeting, offering participants a chance to unwind while supporting the association’s initiatives.
“It’s a great way for people to network and have some fun,” Schaeffer said.
In addition to the educational and networking opportunities, TACO’s Spring Meeting will feature the association’s annual awards program.
