Spacious Skies Campgrounds is preparing a series of themed weekends to enhance the camping experience across its 15 locations from Maine to Georgia.
As summer temperatures rise, these events aim to engage campers and feature activities such as water wars, outer space adventure, and BBQs.
Each campground in the Spacious Skies network hosts unique events under these common themes. Ali Rasmussen, co-founder of Spacious Skies Campgrounds, expressed fascination with the staff’s innovative interpretations of themed weekends.
“Whatever they come up with – from crafts to talent shows to camper decorating contests – themed weekends are always great fun. And those staged activities always lead to increased camaraderie among our friendly camping guests,” Rasmussen said.
In August, campers can look forward to themes such as “Water Wars,” “Outer Space,” “Happy Birthday,” and “BBQ.” Additionally, September will bring themes like “Around the World,” “Farm Life,” “Fall Fun,” “Oktoberfest,” and “Halloween Spooktacular.”
As the year progresses into October, guests can enjoy “Monster Mash,” “Haunted Halloween Fest,” and additional Halloween-themed activities. November offers “Hollywood,” “Glow in the Dark,” “Prehistoric Park,” “Music Mania,” and “Gathering with Gratitude.”
December wraps up the year with “Mindful Moments,” “Winterfest,” and “Winter Wonderland.”
During the hotter months, Spacious Skies Campgrounds offer various amenities to help campers cool down. These include swimming pools, jumping pillows (in-ground trampolines), fishing ponds, golf cart rentals, boating, hiking trails, and gaming arcades. Each campground features different amenities, and most offer various lodging options, including glamping accommodations and cabins.
In addition to themed weekends, campers can participate in the Spacious Skies Campgrounds Fall Color Trail. This trail highlights the changing fall colors as they progress from the northern to the southern campgrounds. The Fall Color Trail, which starts in Maine in early September and concludes in Georgia in mid-November, provides nearly two and a half months of autumn experiences.
According to a press release, members of the Spacious Skies Loyalty Program, known as Cosmic Campers, receive a 12% discount on all RV site, cabin, and glamping reservations, including holidays. The program’s annual fee is $31.90.
