A groundbreaking ceremony marked the start of construction for Standing Pines, an upscale RV resort, in the scenic heartland of Darlington County, near Hartsville (South Carolina).
The project, designed with a family-centric approach aspires to redefine outdoor hospitality by harmonizing the appeal of the wilderness with modern-day amenities.
According to Amy Bashor, the owner and general manager of Standing Pines, the resort is envisioned as an “idyllic country rest and retreat” aiming to bring families and loved ones closer in a tranquil environment that’s conveniently accessible.
Standing Pines is touted to provide more than just a stay, offering an unforgettable experience, rich with storytelling around campfires, stargazing, and serene woodland walks.
The resort will host over 100 designated campsites, 80 of which are specially designed for RVs.
In addition to these, Standing Pines promises a unique “glamping” experience with tents equipped with mattresses and electricity.
Other accommodations include a cozy studio cabin and a two-bedroom rental RV, capable of housing up to six individuals, all aimed to cater to various preferences and needs of their future patrons.
But the impressive lodging arrangements aren’t all that the guests can look forward to. Standing Pines will feature a variety of amenities for a wholesome recreational experience.
These include a sprawling 2,500-square-foot swimming pool designed to entertain more than 150 people, a welcoming center, a fishing pond, and options for boat rentals.
Fitness enthusiasts can look forward to a bike pump track and hiking trails, and there’s also a designated dog park. Add to that, a miniature golf course for a fun family activity.
The first phase of construction will focus on connecting the resort to the Darlington County Water Services, post which, the development of roads, internet infrastructure, utilities, and campsites will be initiated.
The resort is slated for a grand opening in April 2024, with reservations set to commence in October of the preceding year.
