Big Rig Friendly RV Resort will be opening on the outskirts of West Columbia (South Carolina) this spring, a report said.
The new development is nestled at 336 Gardners Terrace Road, approximately a mile away from the State Farmers Market.
The owners, Bill McLeod and D Melton, have been working on the RV resort for the past two years and are excited to open by March or April. They have backgrounds in real estate development and began their venturing into the camping industry in 2011.
The RV park will have about 270-300 full hookup sites to accommodate any size of RVs—even big ones— as the property’s name suggests.
There will also be a swimming pool, outdoor pavilion, pickleball courts, a playground for children, a dog park, an on-site office, and a store. In addition are bathrooms/showers, a gathering room, an exercise room, and walking trails.
The West Columbia site will be Melton’s third project along with two others in Georgia and in the Winnsboro/Jenkinsville area. Melton is working on another site near I-95 near South of the Border.
Other amenities that will be offered at the park are covered entertainment sheds for those who prefer a “buddy site” setup as well as Wi-Fi available on site.
