The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) will offer an in-person Level 1 technician training course from May 19 to 23 at its headquarters in Elkhart, Indiana, continuing its mission to standardize and advance technician education across the industry.
Developed by a team of Institute staff and subject matter experts from all corners of the RV sector—including suppliers, manufacturers, dealers, and independent technicians—the training program provides hands-on, competency-based instruction.
According to a News and Insights report of RVIA, the Level 1 course, which spans one week, is part of the institute’s industry-recognized curriculum that supports a comprehensive technician career path.
RVTI’s training model allows access to both Level 1 and Level 2 training, offered online or in-person at the Elkhart campus. The hybrid approach is designed to meet the varied needs of professionals already working in the field, as well as those entering the industry.
“Subscriptions enable RV dealerships to train all their technicians for the low price of only $1,575 per dealership location. For individuals, either mobile technicians or people who are looking to get into the RV technician field, there is a $630/year option,” the announcement indicated.
Before registering for an in-person training course, individuals must first purchase an active subscription. These sessions operate on a first-come, first-serve basis, and expressing interest or inquiring about a specific course does not guarantee a seat. Early registration is encouraged due to limited availability and high demand.
