RVs Move America Week 2025 Recognizes Industry Trailblazers

RVs Move America Week 2025 commenced with a Monday awards ceremony recognizing industry professionals and policymakers for their outstanding contributions to the recreational vehicle sector.

According to a News and Insights report of RVIA, the event took place during the opening lunch session and was led by RV Industry Association President (RVIA) and CEO Craig Kirby, who shared updates on the state of the industry and ongoing research efforts.

Mary Pouliot, chair of the RVIA and Executive Vice President of Thetford North America, presented the awards.

The association annually honors individuals and organizations that have significantly advanced RV standards, education, and government affairs through its structured awards program.

The National Legislative Award was given to three lawmakers who have shown strong support for the RV industry.

Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) and Representative Bruce Westerman (R-AR) were recognized for their work in expanding access to outdoor recreation and passing the EXPLORE Act.

Senator Blake Doriot (R-IN) also received the award for his role in advancing RV-specific franchise legislation.

Ryan Horsey, president of Parkview RV Center, was honored with the National Education Service Award. Horsey has promoted technician training and education programs throughout his career and has been an advocate for in-house RV Technical Institute training, integrating hands-on learning with technical instruction.

As chair of the RV Dealers Association, Horsey has supported initiatives from RVTI and has encouraged other dealership leaders to invest in workforce development through these programs.

Joe Kleinknight, quality assurance technical manager at Keystone RV, received the Distinguished Achievement in RV Standards Award.

Kleinknight has contributed to RV safety and compliance for more than 35 years, serving on numerous technical subcommittees and helping develop key standards alongside the National Fire Protection Association.

The David J. Humphreys RV Industry Unity Award was presented jointly by the RV Industry Association and RV Dealers Association to Ron Breymier, executive director of the Indiana Manufactured Housing Association-Recreation Vehicle Indiana Council.

Breymier has worked across sectors to unify manufacturers, dealers, and suppliers toward shared industry goals.

Breymier’s advocacy during the COVID-19 pandemic helped RV manufacturers and campgrounds in Indiana remain operational. He also played a key role in supporting Indiana’s RV franchise legislation, signed earlier this year by Governor Mike Braun.

The Distinguished Service Award, the RV Industry Association’s highest honor, was presented to Chad Reece, vice president of government and industry relations at Winnebago Industries.

Reece was recognized for a nearly 40-year career of leadership in government relations, education, standards, and public promotion of the RV lifestyle.

Reece has served on 10 association committees and held roles on the RV Industry Association Board, the Go RVing Coalition, and the RV Women’s Alliance.

His broad involvement has helped shape the association’s programs and policies, contributing to the growth of RVing as a preferred form of travel.

The awards ceremony highlighted the collaborative nature of the RV industry, with honorees representing a wide cross-section of roles and responsibilities. Each recipient was recognized for advancing the association’s mission and the industry’s long-term success.
