RVIA to Host Regulatory & Safety Compliance Seminar in Elkhart on July 30

The RV Industry Association (RVIA) will hold its Regulatory and Safety Compliance Seminar on Wednesday, July 30 at the Lerner Theatre in Elkhart, Indiana.

Open to all RVIA members at no cost, the event will focus on key compliance and safety topics affecting the recreational vehicle sector.

According to RVIA, running from 8 a.m. to noon, the in-person seminar will begin with a keynote presentation, followed by a series of expert-led panels.

“All interested parties are invited, particularly those that have compliance or safety responsibilities and those that wish to learn more about safety and recall processes. Breakfast will be provided,” the event indicates.

Panelists include several leading compliance specialists from across the RV industry. Confirmed speakers are Mike Becker, head of compliance at Forest River, and Curtis Carlson, co-owner and vice president of dealer services at Alliance RV.

Also participating are Troy Cornell, director of product safety and compliance at Winnebago Industries; Christie Iannetta, partner at Nelson Mullins; and Von Lindsey, owner of Lindsey Research Services.

Additional panel members include David Mihalick, vice president of vehicle safety and regulatory compliance at THOR Industries; David Stevenson, quality team leader at ATC Trailers; and Tom Lancaster, enterprise lead field investigator for product safety and compliance at Winnebago Industries.

The seminar is part of RVIA’s ongoing effort to provide educational opportunities to its members. Throughout the year, RVIA hosts a series of in-person sessions covering topics such as market research, dealer engagement, and industry compliance updates.

The July 30 event offers attendees a chance to ask questions directly to compliance veterans, share feedback, and network with peers from other member companies.

With offices in the Washington, D.C., area and Elkhart, Indiana, RVIA serves as the leading trade voice for the $140 billion RV industry, representing more than 500 manufacturers and suppliers that produce 98% of all RVs in the United States and around 60% globally.
