RVIA Board Of Directors Elects New Chair For 2023

The RV Industry Association (RVIA) Board of Directors has elected Forest River General Manager Kevin McArt, who most recently was the Vice Chair, as the 2023 Chair of the Board during their organizational meeting last November 8.

RVIA President & CEO Craig Kirby said McArt’s experience and industry knowledge make him an excellent choice for the position. He also thanked the previous Chair of the Board, Jeff Rutherford, for his “incredible leadership, in the last two years.

The organizational meeting also saw the election of the executive committee officers to their posts, as per the News & Insights report of the RVIA.

Thetford’s Mary Pouliot would fill the Vice Chair position, and Leisure Travel Vans/Triple E RV’s Ryan Elias would have the Treasurer position.

The committee’s Secretary role would be filled up by Brett Randall of Aliner, while Jeff Rutherford would continue serving the board as its Immediate Past Chair. Craig Kirby also serves on the executive committee.

The 2023 RVIA board members’ three-year term and the officers’ one-year term would start on January 1, 2023. The association has seen many of its executives’ positions filled with new faces since it concluded its board of directors election last September 29.

The Board of Directors is the highest level of authority in the association’s organizational structure and is responsible for setting and overseeing strategy and policy related to critical topics such as standards, marketing, government affairs, events, industry education, and association finances.

In early October, RVIA also started its search for a new VP of Government Affairs after its current Vice President, Jay Landers, announced his retirement next spring

This position is a leadership-level government affairs role, reporting to the Present & CEO of the association. This leader manages the overall public policy development and policy dissemination at the federal and state levels
