RVDA Workshop to Provide Tools for Overcoming Price Roadblocks

A workshop at the upcoming RV Dealers Convention/Expo in Las Vegas will focus on helping sales teams overcome price objections and shift toward value-driven conversations with customers.

According to a press release, Sean Gardner of Joe Verde Sales & Management Training will lead the session, titled “Sell More RVs By Eliminating the ‘Price’ Roadblocks,” on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 2:30 p.m.

The event is part of the convention’s business innovation track.

Gardner’s presentation will explore how price can become a barrier during negotiations, particularly as customers increasingly conduct extensive research before visiting dealerships. The workshop is designed to give sales professionals strategies to move past these sticking points and close deals more effectively.

Participants will learn three methods for handling price concerns early in the sales process, allowing teams to remain “value-focused.”

The workshop will also cover two closing techniques that avoid lowering prices, helping dealers protect gross margins while building stronger customer relationships.

In addition, Gardner will introduce what he describes as a “golden tool” for addressing price objections. This technique could help salespeople deliver more units per month while improving profitability.

Gardner, a trainer with Joe Verde Sales & Management Training, has taught leadership classes for dealers and managers as well as sales workshops across North America. He has previously spoken at NADA Annual Conventions, past RVDA events, and other industry conferences.

The RV Dealers Convention/Expo, held annually, brings together dealership professionals from across the United States and Canada. The event provides access to training sessions, peer networking, and the latest industry insights.

Organizers describe the convention as a dealer-focused event that delivers education for all aspects of dealership operations, including sales, service, and fixed operations. The business innovation track, where Gardner’s session will be featured, highlights strategies for adapting to shifts in consumer behavior.

Alongside the workshops, the Expo floor will showcase products, services, and technology designed to improve dealership performance. Attendees will also have opportunities to connect with suppliers, service providers, and business partners.

The 2025 RV Dealers Convention/Expo will take place Nov. 10-14 at Paris Las Vegas. It is sponsored by the RV Dealers Association (RVDA) of the U.S., RVDA of Canada, and the Mike Molino RV Learning Center.
