RVDA Unveils Annual Dealer Satisfaction Index Survey

The Recreational Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA), the national body representing RV retailers in the U.S., has officially launched its 29th annual Dealer Satisfaction Index (DSI) survey, inviting U.S. and Canadian dealers to provide their insights and perspectives.

The survey aims to identify areas of satisfaction among dealers in regard to the RV brands and manufacturers they carry, signaling a determined push toward strengthening the relationship between dealers and manufacturers within the burgeoning RV industry.

Open until September 8, the DSI survey covers four key dimensions: reliability/quality of the product, parts support provided by the manufacturer, warranty support, and sales support.

The responses are collected confidentially, and they provide a valuable means of communication between dealers and manufacturers. They also offer a significant opportunity for dealers to express their sentiments, which, in turn, helps to shape the future direction of the RV industry.

Phil Ingrassia, the president of the RVDA, emphasizes the critical nature of the survey, stating, “The DSI is a confidential survey measuring the level of satisfaction with the manufacturers in areas of vital interest to dealers. It is more important than ever for dealers to provide feedback to manufacturers through the DSI survey as the industry works to improve the overall customer experience with RV travel.”

The RV industry has witnessed significant growth over the years. As consumers increasingly lean toward flexible travel options, RV travel has emerged as a favorable choice. The DSI survey, therefore, plays a crucial role in understanding the needs of the dealers, who are the primary interface with the consumers.

The RVDA uses the DSI survey as a powerful tool for strengthening dealer-manufacturer relations. The constructive feedback provided by dealers can be harnessed by manufacturers to refine their offerings, which in turn can potentially lead to an improved customer experience. The process, therefore, fosters collaboration and transparency in the industry, thereby enhancing its overall quality and performance.

Participation in the DSI survey is strongly encouraged among RVDA members. The initiative reflects the association’s commitment to continuous improvement and its determination to drive the RV industry’s growth in a direction that benefits dealers, manufacturers, and ultimately, the customers.

By providing this platform for open communication, the RVDA continues to promote a culture of cooperation and understanding within the RV sector, thereby ensuring the industry’s resilience and long-term success.
