The RV Dealers Association (RVDA) will host a member-only webinar on Jan. 13 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern to address a recent data breach involving 700Credit and provide guidance for RV dealers on cybersecurity preparedness.
The session will feature Ken Hill, Managing Director of 700Credit, who will outline the breach’s impact and offer practical steps dealers can take to protect sensitive consumer information and maintain compliance.
Registration for the webinar is open to all RVDA members.
The webinar is designed to help dealers understand how cybersecurity incidents involving third-party vendors can affect operations, consumer trust, and regulatory obligations.
Hill will share insights from the incident, highlight lessons learned, and provide strategies to strengthen internal cybersecurity measures and vendor oversight.
“RVDA’s role is to help our members navigate complex issues with clarity and confidence,” Phil Ingrassia, RVDA President, said in a press release. “This webinar gives RV dealers the opportunity to hear directly from a trusted industry partner, ask informed questions, and better understand how to manage cybersecurity risk in today’s digital environment.”
Hill emphasized the importance of timely communication with dealers following the breach. “Thank you RVDA for the opportunity to provide our customers with an important update regarding what’s been done and where we are with dealing with this difficult event,” he said.
Webinar topics will include an overview of the 700Credit data breach and key takeaways for dealers. Participants will learn immediate actions they should consider following a third-party cybersecurity incident, including assessing exposure and implementing mitigation measures.
The session will also cover best practices for evaluating and managing vendors that handle sensitive consumer data.
Dealers will receive guidance on conducting due diligence and monitoring vendor security protocols to reduce risk.
Another focus will be proactive measures dealers can take now to strengthen cybersecurity readiness and response planning. These steps are intended to enhance dealer resilience and minimize potential operational disruptions from future incidents.
The webinar will conclude with a live question-and-answer segment, allowing RVDA members to address specific concerns and receive guidance tailored to their dealership operations.
The Jan. 13 event is part of RVDA’s broader commitment to providing timely education, trusted partnerships, and resources to help members protect their businesses in an increasingly complex digital and regulatory environment.
RVDA serves as the only national association representing RV dealers across the United States.
