The RV Women’s Alliance Charitable Foundation (RVWACF) has opened applications for the Bill Stewart Scholarship, providing financial support for women seeking advanced training in RV systems through the foundation’s educational programs.
The scholarship honors the late Bill Stewart, a longtime industry advocate and mentor, and aims to help women expand their technical expertise and career opportunities in the RV sector.
The Bill Stewart Scholarship enables members of the RVWA to attend the Charitable Foundation Women’s RV Systems Classes without employer funding. Applications are now live for those interested in participating.
“Our members want to better their skillset by taking a Charitable Foundation Women’s RV Systems Class but may not have the financial means to do so through their employer,” Jennet Lewis, RV Women’s Alliance Charitable Foundation Chair, said, as reported by a News and Insights of RVIA.
The scholarship is named after Bill Stewart, a respected leader in the RV industry whose service, mentorship, and commitment to education influenced many professionals. Stewart was a known advocate for women advancing in the sector.
Stewart played an integral role in creating and launching the Charitable Foundation Women’s Tech Program. Through this initiative, he provided hands-on instruction and mentorship, helping students navigate technical challenges and career development.
Until his passing, Stewart served as the program’s lead instructor. He was recognized for his accessibility and dedication, often assisting students both in the classroom and with broader career guidance.
The Charitable Foundation Women’s RV Systems Classes cover practical skills designed to strengthen technical knowledge and competency for women working across the RV industry. These programs are part of a broader initiative to support diversity and professional development.
The scholarship covers tuition for these courses.
