Registration is now open for the RV Technical Institute (RVTI) and Truma’s next advanced training course, scheduled for Monday, August 25, at the RVTI facility in Elkhart, Indiana.

The session will cover the Truma AquaGo on-demand water heater and the Truma Combi 2-in-1 furnace and water heater.

Participants who complete the course will receive eight hours of credit toward the RVTI’s Level 3 Appliance Specialist certification.

This certification focuses on specialized components, including furnaces, instantaneous water heaters, and hydronic or combination units.

The course is offered at no cost and is designed for technicians who have already achieved Level 2 certification through the institute.

According to organizers, this prerequisite ensures the training can be delivered at an advanced level, allowing technicians to maximize their learning in a shorter timeframe.

“Offering this course is another way that the RV Technical Institute and its partners, including Truma, are working to elevate technician training and, ultimately, improve the RVing experience,” the announcement indicates in a News and Insights of RVIA.

Technicians who do not meet the Level 2 certification requirement will have their registration automatically forfeited.

This policy is intended to streamline course delivery and ensure participants are prepared for the technical material covered.

The training provides a certificate of completion issued by Truma, which can be submitted as part of the application for the Level 3 Appliance Specialist credential. The certificate helps technicians advance in the institute’s professional development framework.

Registration for each course opens six weeks prior to the scheduled date. Upcoming training sessions in 2025 include courses on September 15, October 27, and December 15. Corresponding registration dates are August 4, September 15, and November 3.

By equipping technicians with advanced skills, the institute aims to help reduce repair times and improve customer satisfaction across the RV market.

Registration for the August 25 course is now available through RVTI’s website and store.
