RV Technical Institute Opens Registration for First 2026 Level 3 Electrical Workshop

Registration opens February 10 for the RV Technical Institute’s (RVTI) first Level 3 workshop of 2026, a three-day electrical specialty training designed to advance diagnostic and repair skills for RV technicians.

The paid workshop provides concentrated, supplier-led instruction and counts toward Level 3 specialty certification and higher credentialing.

The electrical workshop is scheduled for March 24-26 at the RVTI facility in Elkhart, Indiana. The program is part of its continuing Level 3 workshop series aimed at expanding access to advanced technical training for certified RV technicians.

According to a News and Insights report of RVIA on February 10, the course will include 16 hours of Victron Energy training delivered by Trek Systems, four hours of generator training from Next-Gen Power Systems, three hours of product training from WFCO Technologies, and 1.5 hours of surge protection training provided by RVTI. Registration costs $90.

Level 3 certification focuses on advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair of RV systems and components. The institute began hosting in-person Level 3 workshops in 2024 to make specialty training more accessible, structuring each workshop week around a single specialty area.

The 2026 workshop series will concentrate on three specialty categories.

According to the program overview, each Level 3 workshop provides all required training hours within its specialty track. Technicians who complete a workshop earn sufficient hours to obtain Level 3 specialty certification in that category.

Those who complete training across all five specialty areas qualify for Level 4 Master Certification.

In addition to in-person workshops, Level 3 specialty courses remain available throughout the year through authorized supplier training programs for technicians who cannot attend scheduled workshop sessions.

The March workshop will be held at the RVTI’s training center at 3333 Middlebury St. in Elkhart. Seats are limited, and registration is handled through the institute’s training program portal.
