The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) announced the opening of registration for its upcoming Level 3 Electronics Workshop, scheduled for September 17 and 18.
This course aims to equip participants with the necessary skills for the Level 3 Electronics Specialist Upgrade. Suppliers teaching the sessions include Winegard and Dish Outdoors, which cover satellite systems; ASA Electronics, focusing on logic control systems; and Lippert and Firefly, which will teach the controller area network (CAN).
Situated in Elkhart, Indiana, these workshops are anticipated to attract professionals nationwide. The curriculum for Level 3 courses is designed to delve into advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs, encompassing five key systems: electrical, chassis, slide-out, electronics, and appliances.
Participants who complete any of these training sessions will be awarded the level 3 Specialty certification in the respective area. Those who secure certification across all five training categories will be eligible for the level 4 master certification.
To attend the event, participants must hold the RV Technical Institute’s Level 2 or higher certification. Additionally, a $50 non-refundable registration fee is required. If the certification level prerequisite is not met, the registration fee will be forfeited, and the registration will be canceled.
“Class begins at 8 am and ends at approximately 5 pm Tuesday, September 17 through Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Break rooms with refrigerators and vending machines are available for learner’s use,” RVTI explained.
To streamline the process of obtaining level 3 and ultimately level 4 certification, RVTI has been hosting Level 3 workshops throughout the year. Each week-long session focuses on one of the five specialty areas, providing all the necessary training hours required for that specific specialty.
According to a News & Insights report of RVIA, for those unable to attend the scheduled training courses, RVTI offers additional Level 3 courses year-round through its authorized supplier trainings.
