RV Technical Institute Names Erin Stover Director of Learning and Strategy

The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) has appointed Erin Stover as its new director of learning and Strategy, a key leadership role aimed at advancing technician training programs.

Stover brings extensive experience in corporate training and the RV industry, positioning her to enhance RVTI’s curriculum and support the development of skilled technicians nationwide.

Stover’s role at RVTI focuses on improving the institute’s training programs to increase the number of qualified RV technicians.

Her professional background spans corporate training, compliance, and policy development, beginning in the financial sector.

While in finance, Stover wrote company handbook policies and processes, marking her entry into training and leading new-hire onboarding programs.

She earned a bachelor’s degree focused on adult education and corporate training, further shaping her expertise in curriculum design and learning strategy.

Stover expanded her experience globally, working with teams in India, Costa Rica, and Australia to refine instructional design and training delivery.

After more than a decade in finance, she transitioned to the RV industry, joining General RV as training manager for fixed operations and technician training.

During her tenure at General RV, Stover collaborated closely with RVTI. “Almost immediately, I started working with RVTI,” she recalls. “They helped me build my training program, and I gave feedback on theirs.”

Her five years with General RV provided direct insight into the training needs of dealerships and technicians, aligning her experience with RVTI’s mission.

In her new position, Stover will focus on strengthening instructional materials, the Learning Management System, and in-person training programs.

The goal is to enhance technician preparedness, ensuring they can service the millions of RVs in operation and support career advancement within the industry.

Stover also emphasizes the broader impact of her work on the RV lifestyle. “RVs offer experiences that people are going to have with them forever,” she said in a News and Insights report of RVIA on November 11.

“RVTI’s goal is to recruit, train and certify technicians who will help return RVs to the road quickly and get people back to the activities that they love, so they can keep building those memories and experiences,” she added.
