The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) has completed its Level 1 Spanish Exam Pilot Program, establishing a process for offering certification testing in Spanish and making Level 1 exams available in Spanish upon request.
The pilot was designed to provide insight into how RVTI could incorporate Spanish-language testing into its ongoing certification program.
With the pilot completed, Spanish-language Level 1 exams are now available to candidates who request them through the institute’s certification process.
According to a News and Insights of RVIA, candidates must first purchase the appropriate Level 1 exam through RVTI’s standard registration process. After purchasing the exam, candidates can request the Spanish version by emailing Certification@RVTI.org.
If a Spanish-language exam is not specifically requested, the exam will be provided in English.
The program is intended to expand access to RVTI certification for Spanish-speaking RV technicians and support technicians seeking to build their skills and advance within the RV industry.
The Spanish-language testing initiative addresses both recruitment and certification. Spanish-language resources are intended to make the RV technician career path more accessible to Spanish speakers and support efforts to recruit more workers into the industry.
The program also provides an opportunity for existing Spanish-speaking RV technicians to obtain formal certification, according to RVTI. The institute described the certification opportunity as a way for skilled technicians to validate their expertise and advance their careers.
The completion of the pilot marks a transition from testing the Spanish-language exam process to making Level 1 certification exams available in Spanish as part of RVTI’s certification program.
