The RV Industry Association (RVIA) reported 30,243 RV units shipped in October, a 1.2% decline compared with October 2024.
Despite the slight drop, shipments for the year are up 3.6%, totaling 297,477 units, indicating steady growth for the RV sector.
According to a summary shipment report of RVIA, Association President and CEO Craig Kirby noted that the October numbers reflect moderate, sustained gains for the industry.
“This latest shipment report shows that overall, the RV industry continues to make moderate, steady gains for the year and we are on track to surpass last year’s shipment totals,” Kirby said.
Kirby highlighted RVing as an affordable travel option, particularly during the upcoming holiday season.
A recent survey cited by the association found that 28 million Americans plan to travel by RV this season, emphasizing the ongoing popularity of recreational vehicles.
Towable RVs, led by conventional travel trailers, recorded 27,055 shipments in October, down 2.6% from the same month in 2024.
Motorhome shipments demonstrated stronger performance, increasing 12.7% to 3,188 units for the month.
Park Model RVs posted the highest percentage gain among major categories, with 443 units shipped, up 28% year-over-year.
