RV shipments rose significantly in June, marking a 15.9% increase compared to the same month last year, according to the RV Industry Association’s (RVIA) latest survey of manufacturers.
A total of 29,332 units were shipped in June, up from 25,308 in June 2024.
Year-to-date figures show continued industry momentum, with overall shipments reaching 190,705 units, a 6.8% increase from the same period in 2024. The growth comes as the industry rolls out 2026 model year units and dealers begin stocking updated inventory.
“This past month new 2026 model year units started arriving on dealer lots as manufacturers and suppliers continue to innovate and improve RVs to meet the needs and preferences of today’s RVers at every price point,” RVIA President & CEO Craig Kirby said.
Towable RVs, which include conventional travel trailers, led the month’s gains with 26,532 units shipped in June—up 15.3% from a year ago.
Motorhomes also saw a notable increase, with 2,800 units shipped—up 22.4% compared to June 2024.
Park Model RVs, which are not motorized and are designed for seasonal or long-term placement, recorded 345 shipments in May, a 2.4% increase from the same month last year.
“With owners using their RVs more than ever before, the RV lifestyle continues to bring joy and adventure to millions of families, friends, and solo travelers this summer,” Kirby added.
For 50 years, RVIA has served as the leading trade voice of the $140 billion RV industry. With offices in the Washington, D.C. area and Elkhart, Indiana, the associa
tion represents over 500 manufacturers, component suppliers, and aftermarket providers. Together, these members are responsible for producing 98% of all recreational vehicles manufactured in the United States and around 60% of RVs produced globally.
Key initiatives of RVIA include monitoring and influencing RV industry trends and consumer behavior, advocating for favorable legislative and regulatory environments at the federal and state levels, and promoting RVing through the Go RVing campaign.
RVIA also supports workforce development through the RV Technical Institute (RVTI).
