Total RV shipments reached 27,629 units in January, reflecting a 21.9% increase from the 22,674 units shipped during the same month last year, according to the RV Industry Association’s (RVIA) latest survey of manufacturers.
“January’s shipment numbers reflect the continued, steady growth we anticipated for the RV industry as we begin 2025,” RVIA President & CEO Craig Kirby said in a News and Insights report of RVIA. “While we remain cautiously optimistic, these early indicators are encouraging and suggest the enduring appeal of the RV lifestyle.”
Towable RVs, which include conventional travel trailers, led the surge with 24,906 shipments, marking a 27.6% increase compared to January 2024. Motorhome shipments, however, declined by 13.6%, totaling 2,723 units for the month.
Park Model RVs also saw a decrease, with 293 units shipped, representing a 3.9% drop from the same period last year.
Kirby emphasized the industry’s focus on innovation: “We look forward to building on this momentum throughout the year, delivering innovative products to consumers that reveal the incredible destinations and memorable experiences that are just beyond your door in an RV.”
