RoverPass Introduces Personalized “Credits” to Drive Late-Summer Bookings at Campgrounds

As the camping season enters its final months, RoverPass has launched a revamped version of its promo codes feature, introducing “credits” — targeted, email-linked discount offers aimed at increasing late-summer occupancy for campgrounds and RV parks.

Announced July 23, the update allows campground owners to send unique promo codes directly to specific guests, helping operators encourage repeat stays, reach select customer segments, and prevent discount misuse. 

Each credit is tied to a particular email address, limiting its redemption to the intended recipient.

The move is designed to offer campground operators a more strategic approach to promotions. “Summer is when every site matters,” Ravi Parikh, founder and executive president of RoverPass, said in a press release. 

“With Credits, campground operators gain surgical precision in their promotions. No more blanket discounts that undercut revenue. Instead, you can recognize your most dedicated campers or test a new market while keeping full control of who redeems each offer,” Parikh added.

By sending credits to past guests, local travelers, group coordinators, or even seasonal employees, park owners can customize outreach efforts and reduce waste from broadly shared or misused promo codes. The tool also aligns with broader efforts to support targeted marketing as campgrounds aim to maximize high-season revenues.

The credits feature is now live within the RoverPass Owner Portal, where it integrates with the company’s broader suite of loyalty and communication tools. These include mass SMS, guestbook, email communication, and ticketing experiences, all of which can be managed from a centralized dashboard.

“Campgrounds told us they needed smarter promo tools,” said Melisa Chang, marketing director at RoverPass. 

“Credits grew out of conversations with our customers. They wanted the ability to say, ‘We see you, and here is something special just for you.’ This update gives them exactly that without adding complexity,” Chang noted.

RoverPass emphasizes that Credits can serve multiple use cases as parks approach the end of peak season. For example, a 10% VIP Credit can be offered to loyal customers who booked in the past year, while group discounts can incentivize corporate or family bookings.

Campground operators can also use the tool to engage employees by offering “Staff Appreciation Credits” that can be shared with friends and family or used to encourage referrals.
