RoverPass has launched an Advanced Dynamic Pricing feature that automatically adjusts nightly campsite rates based on real-time occupancy levels, introducing automated pricing controls for campgrounds and RV parks using its reservation and property management platform.
The new tool allows campground operators to configure pricing rules that raise or lower rates depending on demand, a system designed to replace the flat-rate pricing structure commonly used across the outdoor hospitality sector.
Under traditional pricing models, nightly rates often remain unchanged regardless of whether a park is sparsely occupied during off-peak periods or nearly full during high-demand dates.
RoverPass said the feature enables operators to manage occupancy-driven pricing while maintaining direct control over how rates are adjusted.
The system allows campground owners to create pricing structures tied to occupancy thresholds that automatically modify nightly rates as bookings change.
Operators can activate the feature using preset configurations labeled Conservative, Moderate, or Aggressive, which the company said can be enabled in less than 60 seconds.
For operators seeking more customization, the system supports up to 10 occupancy tiers per rate, allowing price adjustments to be configured either as percentage changes or fixed dollar amounts.
The platform also includes a visual pricing timeline that displays rate adjustments across the full occupancy range from 0 to 100 percent. The interface uses color coding to indicate premium rates, discounts, and base pricing levels.
Campground operators can determine how occupancy is calculated within the system by selecting from three scope options: individual rate level, site-type level, or the entire campground.
Dynamic pricing can also be enabled or disabled independently for each rate category.
The system applies bidirectional adjustments, meaning rates can increase during high-demand periods or decrease during slower booking periods to encourage reservations.
“Campground owners told us they wanted smarter pricing, but they didn’t want to hand control to a black box,” Ravi Parikh, chief executive officer and founder of RoverPass, said in a press release.
“We built a tool where every rule is visible, every adjustment is configurable, and nothing changes without the operator’s explicit setup. Transparency isn’t a feature — it’s the foundation,” Parikh added.
The feature integrates with the RoverPass reservation system, where guests see the final adjusted nightly rate during booking without a separate dynamic pricing label.
According to data cited by RoverPass, medium-sized campgrounds on its platform reported a 16.6% year-over-year increase in nightly rates in 2025, while large campgrounds recorded an 18.8% increase.
During the same period, operator discounting declined 41%.
RoverPass said the Advanced Dynamic Pricing feature is now available to all customers through the platform’s revenue management dashboard at no additional cost.
