REV Group Reveals ESG Initiatives, Achievements in 2023 Corporate Sustainability Report

REV Group, Inc., a manufacturer of specialty vehicles, including recreational vehicles and trucks, has released its fifth annual corporate responsibility report, according to a press release. The 2023 Corporate Sustainability Report details the company’s environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) initiatives and achievements throughout the fiscal year 2023, from November 1, 2022, to October 31, 2023.

“During each step of REV’s ESG journey, we evaluate how we are realizing our company vision ‘To improve the quality of life for our customers and communities’,” Mark Skonieczny, president and CEO, of REV Group, said.

The report aligns with the Global Reporting Initiative Standards, ensuring a standardized and internationally recognized framework that promotes transparency and accountability in ESG reporting.

 “Whether it is improving the environmental impact of our vehicles by designing an all-electric fire truck or reducing the emissions at our facilities, we continue to focus on sustainability across all our businesses and work to create long-term shareholder value,” Skonieczny said.

REV Group has undertaken numerous projects aimed at boosting operational efficiency and minimizing energy consumption, air emissions, and waste. The report outlines specific initiatives and their outcomes, demonstrating tangible reductions in emissions and hazardous waste.

On the social front, REV Group is dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive workforce by recruiting top talent and enhancing workforce diversity at all organizational levels, from the Board of Directors to front-line employees. The introduction of My REV Hub, an HR support suite, is highlighted as a towards improving employee experiences by broadening access to HR resources.

In terms of governance, the report notes that REV Group’s Board of Directors is required to complete a minimum of four hours of continuing education annually.

Additionally, the appointment of Maureen O’Connell, an NACD-certified director with extensive financial, executive, and board experience, to the Board of Directors, underscores the company’s commitment to independent and effective governance.

The 2023 Sustainability Report covers a wide range of performance metrics and progress in areas such as water use, waste management, energy usage, air emissions, product and safety innovations, workplace health and safety, employee health and wellbeing, community involvement, training and education, diversity, equity, and inclusion, government and ethics, supply chain management, and information security.
