Registration Opens for RVTI Level 3 Electronics Workshop in September

The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) has opened registration for its upcoming Level 3 Electronics Workshop, set for September 3–4, at the institute’s headquarters in Elkhart, Indiana.

The two-day course is part of RVTI’s broader effort to offer advanced specialty training for RV technicians across the country.

This workshop marks the sixth course in the institute’s 2025 Level 3 training series, which provides focused instruction in five key specialty areas throughout the year.

The September session will feature instruction from technical representatives of Winegard, Lippert, and Firefly.

Participants will receive 16 hours of electronics training during the session, meeting all necessary requirements for Level 3 certification in electronics. The training is designed to deepen technicians’ knowledge of advanced RV electronic systems and components.

According to a News and Insights report of RVIA on July 29, to qualify, registrants must already hold at least a Level 2 certification from the institute. RVTI has stated that “failure to meet the certification level pre-requisite will forfeit the registration fee and registration will be cancelled.”

The cost for the workshop is $50. Attendance is limited, and organizers encourage interested technicians to register early to secure a spot.

RVTI launched the Level 3 workshop series in 2024 to streamline the certification pathway for RV service professionals. The initiative is designed to provide more accessible training opportunities in specialty areas while maintaining high industry standards.

Technicians who successfully complete the electronics course will receive Level 3 certification in that specialty. Those who complete all five Level 3 specialty workshops offered throughout the year will earn Level 4 Master Certification.

In addition to this scheduled workshop, RVTI continues to offer Level 3 training through authorized supplier-led programs. These courses are available year-round and can be accessed through the RVTI website.

Technicians planning to attend the Elkhart workshop are also encouraged to explore Lippert’s September Technician Service School, which will be held nearby and offers training on topics such as axles, leveling, and appliances.

The upcoming electronics session underscores RVTI’s commitment to advancing technician skills and supporting workforce development across the RV industry.
