QIA’s CEO Named as New Chair for the Tourism Society

QIA Services’s Chief Executive Officer, Deborah Heather, was elected as the new Tourism Society Chair at the 45th Anniversary AGM as announced by the Head of Secretariat, Alison Cryer.

She is known for her skills in business development, business planning and strategy, operations, and people management, as well as a natural leader with strong entrepreneurial skills, according to a press release.

“I am delighted to have been elected as Chair of such as prestigious organization during its 45th anniversary year. I look forward to developing a post-covid strategy building on the strengths gained during covid under the chairmanship of Kevin Kaley, in order to grow and serve the membership from a regional, live, and virtual perspective,” said Heather.

The Tourism Society Board and Secretariat look forward to working closely with Deborah to enhance and develop the Tourism Society.

QIA Services is also the parent company of Quality in Tourism (QIT), the society’s latest corporate partner that signed up before the AGM. This means they have joined many long-standing corporate partners such as Visit Wales, Go to Places, Sykes Holiday Cottages, The Caravan and Motorhome Club, Geotourist, Kemosabe, and Broadcast Revolution.

QIT works in the hospitality, tourism, and leisure industry, providing expertise and advice to help quantify and improve the performance and profile of businesses in the abovementioned industries.
