Blue Mountain Resort has kicked off its green season, offering various outdoor activities such as mountain biking, fishing, traditional camping, and glamping, with all spots selling out on the opening.
Each glamping tent at the resort features a wooden deck and a full-size bunk bed. Guests have access to showers and drinking water, with the tents situated among traditional camping areas.

According to an article published by Fox56 Wolf on May 26, Kamy O’Rourke, the glamping and camping manager, described glamping as an upscale camping experience where everything is set up, including beds and linens.
“I love the guests; you see all kinds of people with all kinds of different outdoor tolerances. People who are weary of spiders and people who are outdoorsmen and want to have fun,” O’Rourke added.

According to its website, Blue Mountain Resort also features 15 glamping sites with mountain views. Another aspect of the offering is glamping tents, allowing guests to build their Poconos adventure with various activities, including ziplining, mountain biking, and five levels of high ropes courses.
Each site includes nearby or on-site vehicle parking, a canvas tent, sheets, and pillowcases, and a full-size bunk bed option. Guests can relax on a wooden deck with Adirondack chairs and use a fire ring with grill, tongs, and brush, along with a picnic table and bedside table. Additionally, the package includes free scenic lift rides, access to the Blue Burn and cross-country hiking trails, and use of the fishing pond.

Joe Forte, the adventure and sports director, noted that glamping has become particularly popular with people who have never been camping before and lack the necessary equipment, as the resort provides everything needed for the experience.
The success of Blue Mountain Resort’s glamping offering underscores significant lessons for glamping owners and developers, particularly regarding selling out spots. Creating all-inclusive amenities and a comfortable experience is essential to attract outdoor enthusiasts. Providing such amenities can significantly enhance the appeal of glamping sites, making them attractive to a broader audience and ensuring higher occupancy rates.
Furthermore, by focusing on these developments, glamping sites can attract a broader range of guests, including those new to camping and those seeking an upscale outdoor experience.
