Travelers to Southern Oregon now have a new lodging option near downtown Klamath Falls, with the opening of Volcanic Legacy RV Resort catering to visitors exploring local lakes, parks, and outdoor destinations.
Volcanic Legacy RV Resort opened on the former Reames Golf Course and Country Club property adjacent to The Growler Guys Taphouse.
The RV resort is operated in connection with The Growler Guys and is positioned to serve travelers passing through the region, particularly those visiting Upper Klamath Lake, Lake of the Woods, and Crater Lake National Park.
The property’s proximity to downtown Klamath Falls and existing food and beverage operations is a central feature of the development.
“We’ve blended panoramic mountain views, wide green spaces, and a touch of local flavor to create a place where travelers can slow down, breathe in the pine-scented air, and feel right at home,” the resort states.
Volcanic Legacy RV Resort includes 70 RV sites, all of which are pet-friendly. The park also offers long-term stay options, including monthlong accommodations.
Lauren Pochatko, manager of The Growler Guys and Volcanic Legacy RV Resort, said the project is expected to increase visitation to the area and support local activity.
Pochatko emphasized the resort’s location as a convenient stop for travelers exploring nearby lakes and national parks, positioning the RV park as a practical base for regional tourism.
The resort’s adjacency to The Growler Guys Taphouse allows guests direct access to on-site amenities not typically associated with traditional RV parks, creating a blended hospitality experience.
“It’s going to bring so many more people out here. We have a ballroom in The Growler Guys, and we host lots of parties, anniversaries, weddings… so hopefully when people stay out here, they’ll be able to experience that as well,” Pochatko said, as reported by KOBI Television (Channel 5) on January 10.
The property repurposes existing infrastructure from its previous use as a golf course. Former golf cart paths have been converted into walking trails that loop around the resort.
Additional recreational amenities are planned. The Growler Guys are preparing to add pickleball courts on the property, with an anticipated opening timeline of this summer.
