Southwest Oregon’s Tu Tu’ Tun Lodge, nestled along the Rogue River within the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest, completed its first renovation since opening in 1970. The transformation blends modern luxury with natural surroundings, enhancing the guest experience at this long-favored retreat. The Pacific Northwest resort unveils 12 mirror cabins, featuring outdoor soaking tubs, and riverfront sauna.
New accommodations were designed to integrate with the environment, offering views of Oregon’s landscapes, including mountains, creeks, and riverfront scenes. “We decided to utilize the glass cabins in order to have our accommodations blend into the environment. We feel this helps connect our guests with nature and the Rogue River wilderness,” Mini Byers, co-founder of Charming Hospitality, the lodge’s owner, told Travel + Leisure.
The renovation also includes a riverfront wood-burning sauna and a new spa, both designed to complement the natural setting while providing luxury amenities for guests. Private terraces also further connect guests with the outdoors.
Additionally, guest rooms received a redesign, incorporating elements such as high cedar beam ceilings and Douglas fir paneling, honoring the Pacific Northwest’s heritage and the Tututni Nation.
The culinary experience has also been refreshed, with chef Derek Piva leading the dining program. Piva’s menu emphasizes locally sourced ingredients, showcasing the flavors of the Pacific Northwest.
Guests can enjoy a range of activities at the lodge, including fly fishing on the Lower Rogue River, golf at nearby courses, and hiking along coastal trails.
According to its website, the Pacific Northwest resort offers a variety of accommodations designed to immerse guests in nature while providing modern comfort. The River House, located on the water’s edge, boasts river views and a warm, open atmosphere. Guests can gather in the room beneath a cedar-vaulted ceiling or enjoy a meal from the fully equipped kitchen on the furnished deck. Two king bedrooms feature en suite bathrooms, private decks, and outdoor soaking tubs, ensuring a serene and luxurious stay.
The Creekside Glass Cabins also provide a retreat nestled among trees, with mirrored walls. Guests can unwind on the outdoor patio, surrounded by the ambiance of the forest and the Rogue River.
For a more refined experience, the Steelhead Suite offers custom finishes, including a galley kitchen with granite and cherry wood touches. With upriver views and a living room featuring a cast-iron fireplace, guests can enjoy their stay. The suite is also ideal for both summer and winter stays, accommodating up to three adults.
