The Goin’ with the Flo Vintage Trailer Fest is set to return to Florence, Oregon, on Saturday, October 11, offering a showcase of restored and retro trailers at Heceta Beach RV Park.
The free, family-friendly community open house will run from noon to 3 p.m. at the 20-acre campground located at 4636 Heceta Beach Road.
Now in its eighth year, the event will feature dozens of vintage trailers, some restored to near-original condition and others still in various stages of renovation. Owners from Montana, California, Washington, Idaho, and Oregon are expected to participate, giving visitors a chance to learn more about restoration and preservation.
“This is about celebrating the spirit of camping and the artistry of restoration,” Organizer Terry Hankins said, as reported by Oregon Coast Beach Connection on October 2. “These happy campers are surely to be staged to greet you in style.”
Organizers Terry and Dan Hankins have overseen the festival for years, establishing it as a regional draw for vintage trailer enthusiasts.
The open house is designed as a community event that invites attendees to step back in time and experience the evolution of recreational travel. For RV park owners and operators, it also highlights a growing niche market that blends nostalgia with camping culture.
Adding to the retro atmosphere, Florence’s Rhody Cruisers classic car club will cruise through the park around noon, pairing vintage cars with trailers for a full throwback experience.
The setting at Heceta Beach RV Park reflects both Florence’s natural appeal and its reputation as a hub for vintage-inspired tourism. Known for antiquing, thrifting, and weekend getaways, the town provides a fitting backdrop for the festival’s retro theme.
“Florence is a super town for treasure hunting,” Hankins added. “It’s the perfect place to play and explore.”
