The Landing at Bear Creek RV Park in Felicity, Ohio, unveiled a series of upgrades this year aimed at enhancing year-round accommodations and improving amenities for families and traveling workers following its acquisition by The Freedom Group on Jan. 11, 2024.
Located just outside Cincinnati, the 117-site park has undergone infrastructure improvements that reflect a broader strategy to support the growing demand for long-term RV living and short-term recreational stays.
The upgrades are designed to position the park as a destination for both workforce housing and family vacations.
Among the enhancements is a new modular office that functions as both a welcome center and a communal space for guests.
The park also introduced a fully equipped on-site laundry facility, providing convenience for those staying for extended periods.
Recreational improvements include the installation of a kangaroo jumper, expanding on existing family-focused amenities such as a splash pad and playground. These features aim to create a more engaging environment for guests with children.
“These upgrades weren’t just about adding features — they’re about transforming the experience of staying here,” Alan Edmondson, chief facilities officer, said in a press release.
“We’re proud to be one of the only RV parks in the region offering true year-round accommodations. That’s a game-changer for traveling workers and long-term guests looking for consistency, comfort, and community,” Edmondson added.
The renovations align with The Freedom Group’s acquisition strategy, which centers on acquiring properties with growth potential and investing in enhancements that improve guest satisfaction and long-term value. The company follows a model known as Acquire, Improve, Manage (A.I.M.).
By expanding its infrastructure and upgrading guest services, The Landing at Bear Creek is responding to broader trends in outdoor hospitality, including the rise of remote work and an increased demand for family-friendly RV destinations.
Its proximity to Cincinnati makes the park a strategic base for contractors, traveling professionals, and others working in the region who require flexible and consistent lodging.
