Roundup Lake Campground in Mantua, Ohio, has been named one of the Top 5 Best Family Campgrounds in the United States in the latest Campspot Awards, a national recognition program that evaluates campgrounds based on guest experience and performance data.
The designation places the Ohio campground among the highest-rated family camping destinations in the country.
The recognition was announced February 10 as part of the Campspot Awards program, which highlights leading campgrounds across North America using a combination of guest reviews, booking data and overall excellence metrics collected through the Campspot platform.
“Families come to Roundup Lake to disconnect from screens and reconnect with each other,” a campground spokesperson said in the announcement. “This recognition is incredibly meaningful because it reflects the experiences our guests have here every day—making memories, building traditions, and enjoying a safe, fun place to camp together.”
Roundup Lake Campground is positioned as a family-focused destination and draws visitors from across Northeast Ohio and surrounding areas. According to the announcement, the property is designed to serve a wide range of age groups and camping styles, offering both seasonal and overnight options for RV and tent campers.
Amenities at the campground include a large spring-fed swimming lake with a sandy beach, water slides, splash areas and designated swimming zones. The site also features daily activities, themed weekends, family-oriented events, playgrounds, sports courts and other outdoor recreation options intended to support extended stays and repeat visits.
According to a press release, many families return annually, building multigenerational traditions around their visits.
