The Ohio Campground Owners Association (OCOA) will host its 2025 Fall Conference and Campground Tour on Oct. 28-29 at the Hocking Hills State Park Lodge, bringing campground owners and operators together for two days of education, networking, and on-site visits.
According to OCOA’s website, the annual fall event, a long-standing OCOA tradition, provides members with the chance to tour campgrounds and engage directly with operators.
Attendees will board buses to visit a series of properties, gathering information, exchanging ideas, and asking questions about business practices and operations.
The tours are intended to give campground owners practical insights into facility management, guest services, and site development. By rotating locations each year, OCOA ensures that members are exposed to a variety of operations and regional perspectives.
In addition to the campground visits, the Fall Conference will include sessions on the business and regulatory aspects of operating in Ohio.
Topics will also address industry trends, challenges for operators, and updates on issues affecting outdoor hospitality businesses.
Education remains a central component of OCOA programming. The association organizes two major conferences annually—one in the fall and one in the spring—providing members with training, resources, and professional development opportunities.
The Spring Conference and Trade Show serves as OCOA’s other flagship event, drawing both campground operators and industry vendors. The program features educational seminars, networking opportunities, and a trade show with more than 35 exhibitors.
The next Spring Conference and Trade Show is scheduled for March 6-7, 2026, at the Embassy Suites Columbus Airport. It will feature seminars, regulatory updates, networking sessions, and an industry expo. Itinerary, lodging, and registration information will be released in fall 2025.
The association represents privately owned and operated campgrounds throughout Ohio. Membership provides access to statewide advocacy, professional development, and industry promotion, with a focus on helping operators enhance amenities and guest services.
Beyond conferences, OCOA publishes the Ohio Campers Magazine, a statewide guide to member campgrounds. The publication includes details on amenities, locations, and contact information, and is available free to the public through the OCOA website.
The magazine connects travelers with Ohio’s private campgrounds while giving members a platform to showcase their businesses.
