Kampgrounds of America (KOA) announced the opening of the Lake Logan KOA Journey in Ohio, a new campground developed by Justin Staten and Everstar Outdoor LLC. The campground opened its doors and is located in the scenic Hocking Hills region near Lake Logan.
Lake Logan KOA Journey aims to serve outdoor enthusiasts seeking access to the area’s natural attractions, including forest trails, boating, swimming, and fishing.
With its location just minutes from Lake Logan, the campground offers a convenient base for travelers exploring southeastern Ohio.
“We love the Logan Lake area, and we felt we had a hidden gem with the lake being so close to our campground,” said Staten, the campground’s owner. “People can enjoy the lake by fishing, swimming, and boating while also taking in the beautiful scenery.”
According to KOA’s annual Camping and Outdoor Hospitality Report, campgrounds continue to make a measurable impact on local economies. Campers spend an average of $156 daily while traveling, with growing interest in visiting small towns and experiencing regional food tourism.
As a KOA Journey campground, Lake Logan KOA offers features tailored for overnight or short-term stays, including long pull-thru RV sites and access to essential supplies. These features cater to road travelers looking for an efficient and comfortable camping experience.
Amenities at the campground include a KampK9 dog park, firewood delivery, pizza and wings, 50-amp pull-thru sites, deluxe patios, a playground, and a camp store. Guests can also rent pontoons or paddleboards and explore the hiking trails throughout the area.
Future development plans include upgrading all RV sites with concrete patios and pads, adding pickleball and basketball courts, introducing cornhole areas, and constructing two new cabins.

The Lake Logan KOA Journey joins a network of more than 500 KOA campgrounds across the United States and Canada. KOA’s three campground brands—KOA Journey, KOA Holiday, and KOA Resort—are designed to serve various camper preferences and travel styles.
Located at 28920 Lake Logan Road, the campground will remain open through November 1, 2025. Reservations can be made online, by phone, or through the KOA App.
