Airstream Club International has signed a contract to host its 71st International Rally from June 24–29, 2028, at the Mercer County Fairgrounds in Celina, Ohio.
The event will be the first Airstream Club International Rally held in Ohio since 1999, when the gathering took place in Dayton, and represents a significant milestone for the member-based organization and its host community.
Celina’s proximity to Jackson Center, Ohio, where Airstream travel trailers are manufactured and where Airstream Club International is headquartered, adds symbolic importance to the 2028 location for the Airstream community.
According to a press release, local officials in Mercer County positioned the fairgrounds to accommodate the scale of the event, with infrastructure investments designed to support up to 1,000 Airstream travel trailers on site during the rally.
Among the upgrades is the new Grand Event Center, which fairgrounds officials said will be completed in advance of the 2028 rally and serve as a central venue for major programming and events throughout the week.
“We are proud to welcome Airstream and thousands of visitors to Mercer County,” said Cara Muhlenkamp, executive director of the Mercer County Fairgrounds. “This event highlights the investments we are making in our fairgrounds while providing a meaningful boost to our local economy.”
Muhlenkamp said collaboration with Airstream Club International and the International Rally Committee has been central to preparing the site to host what she described as a “monumental event for the community.”
The announcement follows continued momentum for Airstream Club International’s annual rally program, which represents the largest annual gathering of Airstream owners in the United States.
The club most recently concluded its 2025 International Rally in York, Pennsylvania, held Aug. 23–28, 2025, which drew thousands of members for a week of education, entertainment, and community engagement.
Looking ahead, Airstream Club International has confirmed a multiyear schedule of upcoming rallies, including Minot, North Dakota, from Aug. 22–27, 2026, and Rock Springs, Wyoming, from June 26–July 1, 2027.
Each International Rally is supported by national sponsors and includes an exhibitor expo featuring products and services geared toward the Airstream lifestyle, with attendance and exhibitor participation increasing in recent years.
