OHI, the national association representing private RV parks and campgrounds, announced that it will implement a membership dues adjustment beginning Jan. 1, 2026.
The change, the first significant update in several years, is intended to support expanded member benefits and ensure long-term sustainability for the organization.
The organization said the move was necessary to keep pace with rising operational costs while ensuring it can continue to deliver services and advocacy for its members.
While the change includes a modest increase in annual dues at the time of renewal for existing members, OHI emphasized that the adjustment also reflects greater investment in programs and initiatives designed to strengthen the outdoor hospitality sector.
The association said this includes improving park visibility through GoCampingAmerica, expanding research access, and increasing resources for member operators.
“Our dues have remained extremely affordable and have not been increased for the past two years, even as the costs of advocacy and member support have risen,” said Paul Bambei, OHI’s president and CEO.
“This adjustment is long overdue and ensures OHI can continue to deliver unmatched value to members while keeping costs well below those of comparable associations,” Bambei added.
OHI said membership dues directly fund initiatives that drive industry growth and support business operators. The association noted that every dollar collected is reinvested into strengthening the position of private RV parks and campgrounds in the marketplace.
A key component of that reinvestment is OHI’s advocacy work. Since 2020, the association said it has secured 19 pro-business legislative victories while blocking more than a dozen measures it considered harmful to operators.
Among its recent efforts, OHI supported making the Qualified Business Income deduction permanent, giving operators a 20% deduction they can count on annually.
The association also underscored its role in boosting national visibility for member properties. Parks are listed on GoCampingAmerica.com, which attracts hundreds of thousands of potential guests each year. In addition, a new partnership with Spot2Nite is expected to expand that reach further.
Research and industry insights form another cornerstone of OHI’s offerings. The association provides members with exclusive reports such as the Generational Camping Report and the Industry Outlook Report, giving operators data to inform pricing, marketing, and operational decisions.
Financial benefits also play a significant role in OHI membership. According to the organization, members save an average of more than $7,000 annually through preferred vendor discounts on essentials including propane, Wi-Fi, music licensing, equipment, and property management systems.
The association also points to professional development and community as essential benefits. Networking events such as Coffee Conversations, Young Professionals Happy Hours, and national gatherings including the Outdoor Hospitality Conference & Expo and the George O’Leary National School of Outdoor Hospitality are designed to connect members while promoting industry standards.
“Membership with OHI means being part of something bigger,” said Jeff Hoffman, treasurer of the OHI Board and chair of the dues restructure workgroup.
“OHI has streamlined operations, embraced efficiencies, and cut costs where possible. This dues adjustment ensures we remain a strong, effective advocate for the outdoor hospitality industry in the years to come,” Hoffman added.
