OHI has announced that open enrollment is now underway for its discounted music licensing program, a benefit available to members in the outdoor hospitality industry.
Invoices for the 2026 calendar year have been posted in the OHI Member Portal, with payment due by November 26.
The program allows RV parks, campgrounds, and glamping resorts to legally play copyrighted music through a simplified and discounted licensing system.
Many outdoor hospitality operators incorporate music into their guest experience through live performances, karaoke nights, poolside playlists, or background music during activities.
Federal copyright law requires a valid license for the use of copyrighted music, and penalties for noncompliance can range from $750 to $30,000 per song, with willful infringement penalties reaching up to $150,000.
OHI’s program offers licenses from all four major performing rights organizations—ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, and Global Music Rights—either individually or as a bundled package. Members can save up to 35 percent off standard rates, and bundled licenses provide full coverage across the four PROs.
“Our members look to OHI for solutions that protect their businesses and strengthen their guest experience,” said David Basler, Chief Strategy Officer at OHI.
“OHI’s music licensing program offers the best pricing in the industry and is a perfect example of how we take a complex legal requirement, negotiate on behalf of the industry, and deliver a benefit that no one else can offer at this level.”
In addition to discounted pricing, the program provides administrative convenience. Enrolled businesses are placed on a “Do Not Contact” list, helping them avoid direct outreach from the performing rights organizations and simplifying compliance.
Current members are encouraged to review and pay their invoices by Wednesday, November 26, to ensure uninterrupted coverage for the 2026 calendar year. Outdoor hospitality businesses that are not yet enrolled can find full details and enrollment information at ohi.org/music. For assistance, members can contact OHI by email at [email protected] or by phone at 303-681-0401.
For operators in the camping, RV, and glamping sectors, maintaining proper music licensing not only ensures compliance with federal law but also enhances the guest experience through legally protected entertainment offerings.
