The OHI Foundation has announced the recipients of its 2024 scholarships for the Outdoor Hospitality Conference and Expo (OHCE) and the George O’Leary National School of Outdoor Hospitality. This year’s scholarships highlight the foundation’s commitment to supporting education and professional development in the outdoor hospitality sector.
These scholarships were made possible through the support of donors, including Tengo Internet, 20 Group 4, the George O’Leary Family Trust, and others, ensuring that aspiring professionals within the outdoor hospitality industry can benefit from professional development without financial constraints.
This year, 42 scholarships have been awarded, continuing the foundation’s mission to foster growth and learning among future leaders in the outdoor hospitality industry. These scholarships advance the professional development of individuals by providing access to key industry events.
The recipients of the OHCE 2024 scholarship will have the opportunity to attend the industry’s premier event, which will take place from November 4 to 6 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The OHCE conference is a trade show designed for networking and learning, where attendees can connect with experts, peers, and innovators while exploring new products and services.
The scholarship recipients will be able to participate in various educational sessions and workshops aimed at enhancing their industry knowledge and operational expertise. This year’s conference will cover a wide range of topics, from innovative technology to sustainable practices, making it a vital platform for skill development.
In addition to the OHCE scholarships, the OHI Foundation announced the recipients of the George O’Leary National School of Outdoor Hospitality scholarships. This annual program, set for February 23-28, 2025, in Wheeling, West Virginia, is designed for park owners and those aspiring to enter the industry. The program offers a deep dive into the tools, strategies, and best practices necessary for successful park management and operations.
“Through the OHI Foundation’s scholarships, we continue to support individuals in their pursuit of excellence within the Outdoor Hospitality Industry. OHI is grateful for the support of our community, which allows us to provide these valuable opportunities, and we are so excited to welcome all of our scholarship winners to these premier industry events,” a press release indicated.
