Day two of the 2025 Kampgrounds of America (KOA) Convention & Expo is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated segments of this year’s gathering in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Taking place Tuesday, Nov. 18, the day offers a robust schedule of general sessions, workshops, and social events designed to inspire, educate, and connect KOA owners, managers, and partners from across North America.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to make the most of the day, starting with a breakfast buffet from 7:45 to 8:30 a.m. in Ballroom BC at the Raleigh Convention Center. The morning meal provides the perfect opportunity to connect with peers and prepare for an action-packed lineup of sessions and events ahead.
At 8 a.m., day two officially kicks off with the Opening General Session in Ballroom BC, running through 10:15 a.m. The program begins at 8:30 a.m., featuring inspiring updates, announcements, and insights into KOA’s latest initiatives. This energizing session will set the tone for the day, highlighting innovation, collaboration, and the continued growth of the KOA network.
The morning continues with a series of 75-minute workshops from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. held throughout the convention center. In the workshop Unlocking Group Sales: Growing Revenue in Outdoor Hospitality, presenter Kim Wootteon will explore how groups represent an often-overlooked opportunity to drive significant revenue for campgrounds and resorts.
Attendees will learn what qualifies as a group and why these markets matter, how to identify and target potential group customers, and the essential elements of successful group packages and pricing strategies.
Midday brings one of the most anticipated moments of Day two—the Keynote Luncheon, scheduled from 12 to 1:30 p.m. in Ballroom BC.
Attendees will enjoy a meal while hearing from a featured speaker whose message will motivate and inspire the KOA community. The luncheon serves as both a learning opportunity and a moment of camaraderie among campground owners and industry peers.
Following the keynote, workshops will resume from 1:45 to 3:45 p.m., allowing for extended two-hour sessions for campground success. From 4 to 5 p.m., KOA operators will come together for OA Area Meetings at the convention center.
Jenny McCullough will lead the workshop Reimagining the Campground Experience: Data-Driven Insights, Glamping Trends, and the Future of Outdoor Hospitality, offering a deep dive into KOA’s latest research on campers, RVers, and glampers. Participants will explore camper personas, including demographics, motivations, and decision-making factors that influence today’s guests—from Gen Z adventurers to families and luxury-seeking travelers.
As evening approaches, day two concludes with not one but two major social gatherings from 6 to 9 p.m. The OA Reception at Tobacco Road Sports Café and the OAK Awards Reception at Jaguar Bolera will offer attendees an opportunity to unwind, celebrate achievements, and connect with fellow KOA leaders in a relaxed atmosphere.
Workshops and roundtable discussions throughout the day will encourage collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
“Participate in informative workshops that cover key topics and trends in the industry, providing you with valuable insights you can implement in your business. Additionally, engage in round table discussions where you can share experiences, ask questions, and brainstorm solutions with your peers,” the event indicates.
With its full schedule of educational sessions, networking events, and social celebrations, Day Two of the 2025 KOA Convention & Expo captures the energy and community spirit that define the KOA brand.
