Newbook, a campground management technology provider and part of Storable, launched Newbook Essentials, a streamlined version of its existing platform tailored to small RV parks and campgrounds.
The announcement was made public this week as the company responded to growing demand for digital tools designed specifically for single-site operators and small park networks.
Shaun Cornelius, general manager of Newbook, said the new platform was created after hearing consistent feedback from smaller operators who felt underserved by existing enterprise-focused tools.
“Smaller operators told us loud and clear: they’re ready to digitize, but too many solutions were designed with large enterprises in mind, not the unique needs of smaller parks,” Cornelius said in a press release.
Newbook Essentials provides these operators with access to the same technology used by larger resorts, but without setup fees or excess complexity. The company stated that the product was designed to reduce stress, cut operational costs, and encourage business growth by improving guest experiences.
The outdoor hospitality industry is experiencing a broad shift toward digital operations. According to industry data cited by Newbook, more than half of small and mid-sized parks have already implemented online booking systems.
However, 65% of these operators reported challenges in maintaining occupancy levels..
With guest expectations evolving toward seamless digital interactions, Newbook Essentials aims to help operators adapt quickly. The platform includes features for dynamic pricing, OTA channel integration, and customizable online booking, enabling small parks to increase revenue without sacrificing autonomy over brand or customer data.
Operational tools within the platform offer automation for guest communications, front desk processes, rental management, and recurring billing.
Flexibility is another key component of the platform. Operators can access over 100 software integrations, including payment processing and guest service tools, allowing them to scale their operations as their businesses grow.
The platform follows a fixed pricing model and eliminates onboarding costs, making it financially accessible for operators working with limited budgets. The setup is also designed to be turnkey, helping users go live with minimal delay.
Core features include a branded online booking engine, real-time rate and inventory synchronization across OTA channels, customizable guest workflows, and business reporting tools. Users also have access to 24/7 support teams based in California and Australia.
“Unlike marketplace-first platforms that can limit direct guest relationships or charge heavy commissions, Newbook Essentials keeps operators in control of their guest experience, pricing, and revenue strategy from the start,” Cornelius said.
