North Star Farm, a family-operated working farm located in Franklin, New York, has opened bookings for its new geodesic dome glamping accommodations for the spring and summer seasons.
The upstate New York property, about 2.5 hours from New York City, offers a unique blend of outdoor hospitality, agricultural tourism, and sustainable design aimed at travelers seeking a slower pace and closer connection to nature.
The farm, situated on 75 acres of certified organic land, has launched four glamping domes named Eagle, Bear, Coyote, and Deer.
Each dome features panoramic views, private wood-fired hot tubs, and interiors outfitted with natural materials intended to create a calming atmosphere. Shared amenities include a cedar barrel sauna, spring-fed fishing ponds, and miles of nature trails.
The property is not a conventional resort. Rather, it offers what operators describe as an “immersive farm experience,” allowing guests to participate in aspects of daily farm life.
During harvest season, visitors can pick organic blueberries directly from the farm’s fields. These experiences are part of the farm’s broader commitment to sustainability and land stewardship, reflected in its no-spray, organic growing practices.
“This is about slowing down and reconnecting with what really matters,” said Justin Kamm of North Star Farm in a press release. “Guests here can expect a grounding, quiet atmosphere — something that’s hard to find in everyday life.”
For outdoor hospitality operators and glamping business owners, North Star Farm’s approach may offer insight into the growing demand for experiential travel rooted in authenticity and sustainability.
Its combination of agricultural tourism, luxury amenities, and minimal environmental impact reflects broader consumer trends favoring wellness, eco-conscious travel, and unique lodging experiences.
Bookings are available for stays beginning May 23, with additional information and photos available on the farm’s website. The farm also shares updates and visual content on its Instagram accounts, @cultivatinglegacy and @thenorthstarfarm.
