Nick DeMartino and Michael Buzzo acquired Nob Hill Campground in Lake George, New York, with plans to convert the site into Adirondack RV, a seasonal RV park set to open this year.
The longtime visitors aim to modernize the property while preserving its appeal as an affordable vacation destination for families.
“There really is a lot of potential with this campground to make it a place for tenants to have a home away from home,” DeMartino said, as reported by The Daily Gazette. “I have spent my whole life on Lake George, and finally having a place to call home on the weekends, just minutes from the lake and from Main Street, has been the best investment for me and my family.”
“Our vision is to create an environment that is a destination for families to fill their weekends making memories and enjoying everything Lake George has to offer,” DeMartino added.
DeMartino and Buzzo plan to enhance the campground’s infrastructure, including utility updates and new amenities such as a community center. The investment aims to improve the guest experience while maintaining affordability for seasonal campers.
“Nick and I have been tenants of Nob Hill with our families for the last three years,” said Buzzo, co-owner of the future Adirondack RV Park.
“From our first summer at the campground, we saw the potential it had to become an affordable destination for families wanting to enjoy all that Lake George has to offer in the spring, summer, and fall months,” Buzzo added.
The transition to Adirondack RV reflects a growing trend of private investment in campgrounds to meet rising demand for seasonal and extended-stay RV accommodations.
With Lake George attracting outdoor enthusiasts and vacationers each year, the project aligns with market trends favoring long-term RV stays over short-term bookings.
