IAM Acquires Iconic Water Safari Resort

Innovative Attraction Management (IAM) has officially expanded its portfolio through the acquisition of Water Safari Resort, a family outdoor resort in Old Forge, New York. The acquisition, completed on March 1, includes the Enchanted Forest Water Safari, Calypso’s Cove, Old Forge Camping Resort, and Water’s Edge Inn. These properties were previously owned by K&K of Old Forge, Inc. and managed by the Noonan family.

IAM has assured that all existing tickets, hotel, and campground reservations will be honored, ensuring a smooth transition for guests planning to visit the resort.

“We are thrilled to welcome Water Safari Resort, including Enchanted Forest Water Safari, Calypso’s Cove, Old Forge Camping Resort, and Water’s Edge Inn, to the IAM Family. This iconic destination in central New York State holds a special place in the hearts of families and adventure-seekers alike,” Mike Friscia, President of IAM, said in a press release.

Water Safari Resort, renowned as an Adirondack vacation destination, features New York’s largest water theme park, Enchanted Forest Water Safari. It also includes Calypso’s Cove Family Fun Park, which offers a variety of attractions such as an arcade, mini-golf, and karts.

Additionally, the Old Forge Camping Resort provides year-round lodging with heated cabins and cottages, as well as RV and tent sites. Water’s Edge Inn complements these offerings with lakefront hotel accommodations, including guest rooms and luxury suites. The resort promotes discounted weekday Stay ‘N Play packages to encourage visits during less busy times.

“We are thrilled to pass the torch on to IAM for the next chapter in Water Safari Resort’s future. Our family is so grateful to have served family fun to guests for the past 46 years. The great team and amazing guests are the backbone of this business, and we look forward to what the future has in store for this iconic resort,” Katie Wojdyla of the Noonan family said.

IAM, in Windermere, Florida, operates with a broad focus on the hospitality industry. Its interests span theme parks, water parks, family entertainment centers, hotels and resorts, cruise ships, campgrounds, and RV parks

The acquisition of Water Safari Resort by IAM is intended to enhance the guest experience while maintaining the legacy and charm that have made the destination a favorite among families and adventure seekers for over four decades.

“We are committed to preserving its great legacy developed over the 4.5 decades by the Noonan Family while enhancing the experience for guests of all ages. This milestone marks an exciting chapter in our journey, and we look forward to welcoming visitors to create magical memories for years to come,” James Harhi, CEO of IAM, said.
