Hidden Valley Camping Area in Jamestown, New York is joining the Jellystone Park Franchise Network as Chautauqua County Jellystone Park.
The campground that has been a fixture in Chautauqua County camping for over half a century will become New York’s sixth Jellystone park, according to a press release.
“Adding a Jellystone Park location to Chautauqua County provides families with an exciting new vacation option we know they will enjoy,” said Jellystone Park Vice President of Marketing Trent Hershenson.
“Jellystone Park locations throughout the United States are famous for their fun attractions, family activities, theme weekends, and Yogi Bear costumed characters. We are excited about bringing this concept to the area as we expand our presence in New York State.”
The Jellystone Park brand is famous for its attractions, activities, and Yogi Bear costumed character interactions. At the Chautauqua County location, campers will enjoy a swimming pool, jumping pad, gem mining sluice, basketball, and tennis courts.
As it transitions into the Jellystone Park brand, numerous theme weekend activities will be available to guests, starting with a Chocolate Lovers Weekend (August 6-7) consisting of a chocolate chip pancake breakfast, candy bar bingo, an M&M guessing game contest, a “Sweets Sweep Scavenger Hunt,” and “armpit fudge making,” which involves putting the ingredients to make fudge into a sealable sandwich bag and squishing it. Late summer and fall activities include a pre-Halloween-themed weekend on August 27-28, with costume contests, campsite decorating contests, and trick-or-treating.
In addition to providing organized activities and on-site attractions, the Chautauqua County Jellystone Park can also serve as a convenient base camp for visiting attractions in the Jamestown area. These include the National Comedy Center and the Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Museum.
