Hengarth, a new glamping inn and events venue, officially opened its doors in the Great Northern Catskills, welcoming guests for the 2024 fall foliage season. Located on a 101-acre heritage sheep farm, the venue offers visitors the chance to experience the Catskills’ autumn colors and mountain views, beginning September 6.
Hengarth aims to blend luxury with the natural beauty of the region. The inn features fully furnished glamping accommodations, including spacious stargazing bell tents with private bathrooms. These tents are set in mountain meadows and designed to immerse guests in the surrounding landscape, with 360-degree transparent roof panels offering a connection to nature.
In addition to the glamping accommodations, Hengarth provides several on-property amenities. Guests have access to a communal under-cover BYO bar and dining space, a 600-square-foot platform deck for yoga and picnics, and a welcoming reception area housed in a restored 19th-century barn. The property also boasts acres of meadow, farm, and woodlands for exploration, allowing guests to fully embrace the Catskills’ outdoor experiences.
“We are thrilled to open our doors during one of the most beautiful times of the year,” Jen Manning, owner and general manager of Hengarth, explained. “Fall in the Catskills is truly magical, and we look forward to sharing this experience with our guests.” Hengarth’s fall season will run on weekends from Friday to Sunday through October.
The venue also serves as an event space, hosting small groups and live events throughout the summer and fall. Specializing in corporate off-sites, workshops, and retreats, Hengarth provides curated working and performance spaces that cater to a variety of events. This year, the farm has already hosted artist workshops, theater productions, and multi-generational family gatherings.
Reservations for Hengarth’s fall season are now open, making it a destination for couples, families, or friends seeking a Catskills getaway. The glamping experience offers all the comforts of home while allowing guests to connect with nature in a serene and beautiful environment.
