New Leadership Expected as RVIA Begins Board Election Prep

The RV Industry Association’s Governance Committee has launched preparations for the upcoming Board of Directors election, setting the stage for members to select new leaders who will help guide the industry’s strategic direction.

Each year, the committee compiles a ballot of qualified candidates interested in serving on the board. The election is held throughout September, and results are typically announced near the end of the month.

Newly elected board members will begin their three-year terms on Jan. 1, 2026.

According to a News and Insights report of RVIA, for this cycle, there are four open Board seats: two for RV manufacturers and two for suppliers.

The board plays a critical role in establishing policies and overseeing matters such as industry standards, marketing, government affairs, education, data collection, and the association’s finances.

The 2026 Board will include five standing directors representing the three largest RV manufacturers and two largest suppliers. Ten additional directors are elected by association members, covering five RV manufacturers, one park model RV manufacturer, and four suppliers.

Up to two directors may be appointed by the board to add expertise and diverse perspectives that benefit the association’s mission. The immediate past chair also retains a board seat, and former chairs active in the industry may continue to serve.

While the Governance Committee actively recruits candidates, the association’s Bylaws allow for nominations directly from the membership. To qualify, nominations must be submitted in writing and name a person currently holding an active managerial role with a voting member company in good standing.

Each nomination must also be signed by official representatives from at least three other member companies within the same voting class. The deadline for submitting nominations is 5 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, July 15.

The Board typically meets at least three times a year: during the RV Industry Leadership Conference in March, RV’s Move America Week in Washington, D.C. in June, and the RV Dealers Association Convention in Las Vegas in November.

Additional meetings may be scheduled by conference call as needed.
