Fixed operations professionals in the RV industry will have the opportunity to attend a dedicated day of training during the 2025 RV Dealers Convention/Expo, which will take place November 10–14 at Paris Las Vegas.
The event, organized by RVDA of the U.S., RVDA of Canada, and the Mike Molino RV Learning Center, is designed to provide dealership personnel with education, networking, and business development opportunities.
On Thursday, November 13, the program will feature Fixed Operations Day, which focuses on service and parts departments.
A discounted registration fee of $389 grants access to the RVBusiness Top 50 Dealer Awards reception on Wednesday evening, November 12, followed by a full day of specialized workshops.
Participants who are certified through the RV Learning Center can also earn continuing education credits to support recertification.
The workshop lineup is designed to address common challenges facing dealership fixed operations.
Sessions include “Technician Recruitment: Best Practices for Hiring & Retaining Top Talent,” led by Don Reed of DealerPRO RV Training, which will explore solutions to the ongoing shortage of skilled technicians.
Sara Hey of Bob Clements International will present “Can’t We All Just Get Along? How to Help Your Parts & Service Departments,” offering approaches to improve collaboration between teams that often face internal friction.
Other sessions include “Overdrive: Transforming Your Fixed Operations Department,” with John Burgener of Vision Management Group, which will focus on leadership, accountability, and profitability strategies.
Ken Barnes of DealerPRO RV Training will lead “Two Controllables That Can Double Your Fixed Ops GP in Less Than 12 Months,” highlighting labor and parts benchmarks and productivity practices.
Hey will also present “Turning Your Parts Department into a Bank Vault,” centered on inventory management, pricing, and profitability strategies for parts departments.
For owners and operators in the outdoor hospitality and RV dealership sectors, the workshops provide insights into workforce development, departmental efficiency, and profit optimization.
Service and parts operations are critical to long-term revenue growth, particularly as new unit sales fluctuate with economic conditions.
By focusing on technician retention, process improvements, and inventory management, dealers can build stronger service departments that support both customer satisfaction and profitability.
The convention is expected to draw dealership professionals from across North America, offering not only education but also networking with peers, vendors, and industry leaders.
The complete Thursday workshop schedule can be found here. Fixed operations professionals interested in attending can register for the convention here.
Sponsorship opportunities are available, with inquiries directed to RVDA staff. Registration for the convention is accessible here, and regular updates can be found through the event website and social media channels.
